Throughout 2025, the Republican “Hunarmand” Association plans to organize free training courses across all regions, allowing women and youth to acquire handicraft skills.
Currently, training courses are operating in the regions, including Republic of Karakalpakstan (Konlikol, Kegeyli districts), Andijan (Marhamat district), Bukhara (Karakul, Jondor districts), Jizzakh (Zaamin, Mirzachul districts), Kashkadarya (Kukdala district), Namangan (Uychi district), Samarkand (Kattakurgan city), Surkhandarya (Kumkurgan, Boysun), Syrdarya (Akaltyn district), Fergana (Furkat district), Khorezm (Yangiarik, Tuprokkala) regions and the city of Tashkent (Sergeli district). The courses cover various fields, including embroidery, weaving, toy making, national dress production, making porcelain, faience and ceramic products, carpet weaving by hand, and making souvenirs.
These courses aim to further develop handicrafts in the regions, provide employment for women and youth with disabilities, and create new jobs by teaching craft skills.
Experienced artisans involved in the courses will teach women the secrets of creating products and how to sell them. Artisans will be rewarded using the Association’s funds.
Upon completion of the courses, women who have acquired new skills will receive certificates from the Republican “Hunarmand” Association. They will also be supported in continuing their craft activities as artisans or apprentices.
